One of my favorite Instagram accounts to follow is @themacrobarista. He finds macro friendly versions of popular coffee drinks with a fraction of the sugar and carbs that the regular menu items have. Most of the time I drink black iced coffee, but since following him, I’ve been inspired to get creative with my own orders and have found a few that satisfy my sweet tooth without the guilt of 50g of sugar. Here are a few of my favorite Starbucks orders and how I mobile order them:
- Salted Caramel Latte
- Ingredients – Skim or almond milk, two espresso shots, toffee nut syrup, caramel syrup
- My mobile order:
- Select a grande Caffe Latte
- Change to skim or almond milk
- Add 1 pump caramel syrup
- Add 2 pumps toffee nut syrup
- Nitro Cold Brew with Cinnamon Almond Milk Foam (this one is a normal menu item this year!)
- Ingredients – Nitro cold brew, almond milk and cinnamon
- My mobile order:
- Select Nitro Cold Brew with Cinnamon Almond Milk Foam
- Optional: Select light foam
- Optional: Add 1-2 pumps sugar free vanilla syrup
- Nutty Americano (My personal favorite lately!)
- Ingredients – Espresso, hot water, mocha sauce, toffee nut syrup
- My mobile order:
- Select Caffe Americano
- Select grande cup
- Change to three shots of blonde espresso
- Add 1 pump mocha sauce
- Add 1-3 pumps toffee nut syrup
- Skinny Pumpkin Cold Foam
- Ingredients – Cold brew coffee, sugar free vanilla syrup, cinnamon dulce syrup, pumpkin sauce, pumpkin spice
- My mobile order:
- Select a grande Cold Brew Coffee
- Add 1 pump sugar free vanilla syrup
- Add 1 pump cinnamon dulce syrup
- Add 1 pump pumpkin sauce
- Select regular cold foam topping
- Add light pumpkin spice topping
- Caramel Protein Latte – This one is a hack I learned when I did WW and I still love it! You can purchase Premier Protein at most grocery stores, Target, Costco or online here.
- Ingredients – Espresso and a caramel Premier Protein – not sold at Starbucks
- My mobile order:
- Select an Iced Espresso
- Select a venti cup
- Once you get your espresso, pour your protein shake in the cup and stir!
- Vanilla Macchiato
- Ingredients – Espresso, steamed milk, sugar free vanilla syrup
- My mobile order:
- Select an Espresso Macchiato
- Select 2% milk (I think it foams better)
- Add 2 pumps of sugar free vanilla syrup
